Getting Fit For A Wedding – The Ultimate Bride’s Guide
Struggling to shed those last few pounds to fit into your bridal dress? It’s not uncommon for a bride to be to pack on some pounds because of the stress of planning a wedding. Of course, you’ll want to look your slimmest best for your special day. However, the last thing you can afford is to starve yourself as it’s stressful enough leading up to a wedding as it is. Here’s how you can achieve your weight loss goals without resorting to drastic measures.
Start As Early As Possible
Honestly speaking, it’s going to be nigh on impossible to lose more than 10 pounds if your wedding day is only a month away. Healthy weight loss takes time and consistent application, and you’ve got to give yourself some breathing space for periods where you might slack off a bit on your diet or exercise regimen. If you want to avoid the pitfalls of rapid weight loss, then I recommend that you start the moment you set a date for the wedding.
The first thing that I would recommend is to start on a diet plan that is well balanced and designed to help you lose weight consistently over time. Next, you should try to strategically give yourself more opportunities to exercise. One good tip I’ve learned is to get off the bus or train one stop before your intended destination and walk the rest of the day. Not only will you get some much needed exercise, but it will really help to start the day well.
Get People On Board
Losing weight isn’t easy, but who says that it’s got to be a long hard slog on your own? It’s important to get your husband to be on board with you for support and company too. Face it, it’s going to be a lot more enjoyable to work out together at the gym or play sports together than going it alone. Not to mention that it’s a great way to spend more time together and bond further as a couple.
Why stop there? I’ll bet you that you know a few other people who could join you on your quest to shed some pounds… namely your bridesmaids! They’ll be keen to lose some weight to fit into those teeny tiny bridesmaids gowns, and of course what better motivation than to do it together as a group? You could all take up a sporting activity together, or simply make it a regular date to go to the gym.
By starting as early as possible and getting your fiancé and bridesmaids on board with you, losing weight doesn’t have to add to your pre-wedding stresses at all. Before you know it, you’ll be fit to fit into that wedding dress!
Best of luck
